A really complete experience, we hadn’t realised how much of the process occurred within the station which mean there was a lot kore to it than just the whaling. The use of the tanks to make theatres was brilliant and the movies were informative without...More

I first came here in 1986 and it is a very different experience now. The multitude of well kept displays and films to be watched makes for an enjoyable half day experience. Catch the guided tour that runs on the hour to get an insight...More

Brilliant location. Guided tours every hour on the hour. Need to do it as wondering round on your own would be nothing. Hesitated about $32 a head or $29 for seniors but we need these places to stay open. Don’t miss the movies.

Priced at $32 entry pp we thought it was too expensive as many couples around us thought. Hence we can’t offer any accurate critique on the place. However the location is attractive and the cafe and gift shop are well supported.

It's nice to find an Australian tourist attraction which is being well maintained and continually improved. The equipment, including the whaler, all seem ready to go back into operation. There's plenty to see and while it represents an unpalatable past whaling is a big part...More

A thoroughly enjoyable trip around Australia's last working whaling station which ceased whaling in 1978. An informative tour around the site, a 3D video about whales in the theatre, stories from ex whalers on video and freedom to wander around one of the last whaling...More

It’s been nearly 20 years since I last visited this place. Many things have changed, and while the prices have gone up ($32 pp), so have the attractions, and the way they’ve been presented. A 3D cinema presentation on Whales, a interesting holographic supported story...More

We arrived early which is a good idea as later on coaches arrive with school kids etc. Spent three and half hours there including coffee from the cafe overlooking the bay. There's so much to see. They have one of the original whaling ships on...More

I have never seen pets inside the complex. I'm not sure if they are not allowed or that people simply do not bring them. Personally, I would not consider the area as suitable for pets. You can phone the Whaling Station... More
