Housed in Colonial British Era building...the FRI museum does not have much for general public unless you are a student of Botany or a keen lover and follower of forests and trees...Yes but the place is majestic...and does attract you when you reach there....Do visit...More

It is a wonderfully built institute with a lot of greenery. The building is huge and pleasant to eyes. One of the great collections and takes you along. Must go and I would recommend visiting with nominal fees of 10+40.00INR/visitor along with Photo ID. Entry...More

This was built by the British as the Empire Forestry Institute - it was to be the headquarters of forestry in the British Empire. It is now the centre of forest research in India and remains very impressive. It is worth visiting just to see...More

Good for people interested in history and nature. The building complex is very well maintained. The museums are a must visit.For enthusiasts its a good 2-3 hours spent.

I think everyone has answered it. I had taken a taxi from my hotel, as I intended visiting Haridwar also.

6:00am for morning walkers. Entry fee ₹ 2. Office time or general visitors 10 am to 6 pm. Charges are very cheap
