We visited the Monastry on a Friday at about 12pm. We parked the car in the car park at the bottom of the stalls street. We walked up to the Monastry and bought a few merchandise and souvenirs along the way. The vendors were lovely...More

I’ve been 3-4 times now, both in summer and winter and I love this spot. The routine is simple: lunch at the waterfall restaurant (my favorite restaurant experience here in Bulgaria, but not open in winter) then the short walk up to the monastery for...More

You just feel history, religion, and tradition embracing you all at thr same time. Was told that it was a sacred place where people line up for healing.

We visited it during wintertime, which is better than in summer when the place is too crowded. Very interesting, traditional orthodox monastery from the XI century, there are some very nice frescoes and icons in the church. The parking is paid.
