Vayang Rolling Hills are some of the most spectacular places to visit in Batanes. These are hills shaped by water and wind that gave them the undulating look they now have (as if they're really "rolling"). From the top you'll catch a breathtaking view of the Naidi Hills, on the one side, and of the Chadpidan boulder beach below, on the other. There's a concrete road that crosses the site leading to another famous tourist spot on Batan Island: the Vayugan Beach. Spend some time to relax and enjoy the fresh air while sitting on Rolling Hills' verdant ground. Hopefully the wind won't be strong enough to blow you away! :D

When I think of Batanes, I always think it's like Scotland in a tropical setting. The lush green valleys and hills are very prominent in Batanes, and Vayang rolling hills is just one of the many places where you can see this.

Going to Vayang during Amihan season is wild. If you plan to do ootd, you should be wearing shorts or pants or else, the wild will raise your skirt. Lovely coastal view.

It was very windy when we went and the sun was out. Great place to take photos. It’s best to go in the morning so the position of the sun will be behind you so you can take photos of the rolling hills. The grazing cows were so cute.

Be prepared to be astounded by the endless stretch of beautiful hills, peppered with free-range cows and goats--with the permission of their owners, of course. The folks are wonderfully honest and share so much friendship even with acquaintances, that motorbikes left on the hills would mean a farmer is tending to his land nearby and the said motorbikes would not be stolen. Just so you know, your local travel guide did undergo training and certification, to fully share with you his love of his land. Also, be very much prepared to be windswept--in full gales!

My wife went nuts photographing the greens but I found it sort of ho hum, perhaps because I grew up in an equally inviting spot

Personally this is the most picturesque of all the places. You just got to have a guide to point where the most beautiful are to take a shot.

Very interesting walk that stressed the heart. Worth spending 40 minutes there. Best visit early in the morning or late afternoon when the sun is less strong.
