Some visitors might miss this gallery, assuming that a 'musee' was a museum. That would be a shame if you are interested in art. As well as the portraits and paintings of local artist Marie Petiet, there are three galleries with landscapes, marine and war...More

My daughter and I really enjoyed this art museum, which is only about five (six counting the lobby) rooms but tastefully arranged and with good bilingual information available. I especially liked the room housing the Petiet collection, since she was a local artist and her...More

Easily accessed by a discrete entrance, until you know its there, you might miss the Petiet when driving by as it is dwarfed by the large lane of trees. The gallery has a wonderful permanent collection and traces the history of French art. Marie Petiet...More

Much as I did like a good handful of the paintings on display, it was a struggle to spend any more than half an hour here. Unfortunately, photos aren't allowed, but the small post-impressionist room was still of interest, with a few names I was...More

The house in which the paintings were displayed is a joy to see itself, and taken together one can spend a very pleasant couple of hours there.

I always like visiting galleries and this one was a very unexpected pleasure with a nice selection of paintings by artists I've not come across before. With a name like Musee Petiet, I thought it was referring to the size (as you can see my...More
