Rocky beach. Not so crowded but parking your car is quite hard. Good prices. I recommend going for snorkeling as there is a lot of waterlife there.

Stegna beach isn't on the rader of most tourists. Also when you receive maps on the island Stegna beach isn't often mentioned. We went to have a look around and were pleasantly surprised of this nice to to busy beach.
There's seemingly only one road towards the beach and near the beach site it's not such a wide road. It wasn't however easy to find a little parking spot.
But we enjoyed very much our stay there.

Hidden beach accessible only via the GRANDE BLUE restaurant in Stegna. It is not the main beach and not on the main promenade.

After realising that the Mediterranean Sea is warm enough (for us) to swim in March, we’d decided to check out another beach (after Tsambika) and had a bit of a chill-out time at Stegna. The town was completely free of tourists - apart from a couple of mini-markets and possibly one taverna, all other places seemed closed or being renovated - which we didn’t mind at all, for us it was perfect. The beach was empty, too. It’s a gorgeous, sandy beach with the most welcoming, azure-blue water that seems to be changing colours all the time - gorgeous to just look at, but amazing to swim at, too. The water was probably about 17C, but the sun was shining (we both got sunburnt) and it felt warmer, we had a long, very refreshing swim. The water gets quite deep almost straight away and there are some stones at the bottom, but not too many - we’d easily managed without water shoes. After our swim, we had a wander about the town - I’m sure it’s buzzing in the summer season as there are lots of tavernas and beach bars actually being prepared for the season. We wanted to walk to the Secret Stegna (Grande Blue) beach however, we’d been advised by a local lady that it’s still closed.
We then walked up to Archangelos - as we wanted to visit an authentic Greek village - it’s a lovely, little place. We had a frappe there at one of the cafes and just watched the world go by.
We took a bus from Rhodes town to Stegna - the driver advised us where to get off. From the bus stop, it’s about a 40-minute walk downhill to the beach, obviously the walk back up is quite steep. The walk offers some really amazing views and lots of wild goats keeping you company. I think in the summer season, there are buses going directly to Stegna.

We went in September 2022 and it was lovely and quiet. Good for families and couples. The sea was beautifully clear and the beach was clean. The sunbeds were 10 euros for two beds, a chair and an umbrella. A bargain in comparison to Lindos beach charging 25 euros! Plenty of taverna's and small supermarkets. Highly recommed.

There are 2 beaches here separated by a small harbour. There are sunbeds & brollies which you can hire (we didn't as we were trying all the beaches so didn't stay long) plus you can hire boats from a cafe called Yamas", which also serves fantastic, reasonably priced food.

There is plenty of parking & places to eat as well as a small supermarket.

This is a lovely beach in a beautiful location, which I refer to as my "Shirley Valentine" place, and is well worth a visit!!

Beautiful. Quiet. Authentic. Not crowded. First sand, clean sand. Then white small stones and blue water just like in the pictures.
