Overview
More
The maximum height of the cliff is 21.3 m. The cliff runs for about 2.5 km. Panga Cliff stands as a slate wall reaching up straight from the beach. Interestingly, couple of hundred meters from the cliff in the sea there is a steep slope. The location of the slope becomes visible on stormy days as line of foamy waves. Good to know: Panga Cliff is the highest of all Saaremaa and Muhu northern coast cliffs. The cliffs of Saaremaa are all slate cliffs. On the highest point of the Panga cliff there is an ancient ritual site where people sacrificed for the sea.

Beautiful place but not the most impressive cliff. It's only about a 40 feet drop. You can walk down to the beach down if you want. There is a small shop where you can get coffee and snacks. There are barbecue pits where you can...More

It was a surprise to find such a cliff in otherwise flat Saarenmaa. The cliff is about 20 meters high. There are more amazing cliffs in the world but it is still worth visiting while in Saarenmaa. The site is always open. Good weather makes...More

I suppose if you've never overlooked a rough ocean from a cliff, this would be something to stop at. But really all it is - a very windy overlook into the choppy dark water. There is no explanation in English that you must hike a...More

High clifts. Beautiful sights. Nature loving place. Paths for walking. If weather is bad, no nice place to visit.

The steep cliffs are a surprising sight as Saaremaa is very flat in general. On a sunny day the view to the sea is worth the trip and if you are interested in geology the rock layers are probaly worth studying further.

Absolutely the best view of the sea that is breathtaking. A little bit scary as well as you look under the bank. Easy accessable, parking lot, toilet. In the cliff there was a bench made of tree and a swing.

Place are gorgeous... And astonishing, like small Mohair cliffs, more than 20 meters high crumbling limestone wall what fall straight into chilling waters of Baltic sea. No barriers, no artificial constructions (except remains of WWI and WWII fortifications). If you will spend a bit more...More

This place is the perfect spot of you're alone or with your friends. There aren't so many people, so you just can walk around it and even go down and see the cliff from below. Also, there is a perfect place for your picnic.

We stayed an hour in Panga Cliff. We wondered around the cliff and surroundings. There are few walk ways with really nice views to the see. There is also some shops and cafes.
