A great afternoon with the wife walking around this delightful property. Not so delightful in its day, fantastic quantity of knowledge from volunteers and info boards showing what life was like and dispelling some misconceptions. A well maintained and exhibited property and well worth a visit. During these times participation is interactivily limited but the one way system still allows access to two thirds.

Efficient and welcoming greeting at entrance by a gentleman volunteer and efficient Track & Trace. Full explanation of sanitising, what's open to see, how to use the one way system etc. Guides available to ask q's and very friendly and accommodating. Were given interactive handsets to get more information about each room/props which were easy to use with interesting facts. All exhibits were well thought out and engaging. Cafe/gift shop not open due to Covid - but immaculately clean toilets on site. Plenty of hand sanitisers.

Although austere it provides a really good modern interpretation of the history. Volunteers were incredibly friendly. Sadly top floor and basement due to Covid but got a lot out of what was there and will return. Really well implemented digital guide and positioning of quotes on objects felt very modern and interactive.

Great to see how people lived back in workhouse history. Did it last year and went on the tour so saw parts not usually accessible to public.... any history lover will love a visit here!

As a member of the National Trust and we were in the area we decided to visit the Workhouse. Due to social distancing it meant not many visitors were there. For us this was perfect as we visited at our leisure. It was certainly an interesting place and made you appreciate what you now have. The information that the volunteers gave us was invaluable. Definitely worth a visit
