A small fort in the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. It is about an hour's drive from Mandawa, where one can stay the night. The fort is small, with some antiquities on display, well maintained. However, the accomodation available at the fort is, we were told,...More

Avoid visiting during the afternoon as the fort staff has undefined lunch hours. The Marwari horses in the compound are quite a sight. However, the fort left much to be desired.

This is the fort which is still owned and inhabited by the original rajwadas of this region. the they maintained it very nicely. the owner organises a horse safari every year, avid horse riders come from all over the world.

This large fort has grand and imposing areas, but the rooms are rather shabby. Construction work was going on to expand the hotel in operation in the premises. The place is run by the extremely friendly and welcoming royal family.

Not a lot to see but an impressive exterior, one grand room & courtyard you can see & nice view from food. You can stay there & go horse riding. Could be an atmospheric place for a night or two.
