I loved visiting this place. At any cost it can not be missed when someone is in Dilijan. It is surrounded with a beautiful forest and the architecture of the Cathedral makes it quite appealing.

It was (almost) on the way (driving) between Georgia and Armenia. I was curious as there was an Arab (Sharjah Ruler) who had funded the reconstruction . Trip was interesting .

Haghartsin Monastery is located in Dilijan national park, not far from Teghut village, in deep forest.

Haghartsin Monastery not far from the forest town of Dilijan.Road heading to monastery is so cute.You go through the Dilijan National Park.Stop in the middle of the road to take an amazing photos.Monastery has the Best view in May and in snowy winter .

This was quite a pretty Monastery, however it is a bit of a drive to get to. In summer there are places you could picnic on your way up or down to the Monastery, in winter it’s a bit chilly. I liked this stop though...More

We were told the name Haghardsin litterally meant dance of the eagles (khagh Artsvin).Beautiful church and nicely renovated (thanks to the donations of an good hearted arab, ruler of Sharjah). Beautiful architecture! V.E
