Komic monastery is one of the highest monasteries in the world. Only males are allowed inside the sanctum as opposed to all other monasteries where everyone can enter. A preserved body of snow leopard hangs just inside the entrance.You can also visit the residence place...More

A real snow leopard stuff welcomes you in the entrance. Entry permission is only for males, don't know why..

A forlorn place, but for a spiritual digger, it is a treasure. It is a pity though, how government of India does not seem to investing in this area. Fear, false perception of security has deterred the government from improving the place.

Large eagles and vultures would guide your wa to the highest village of India. The Monastery is standing still with all the calmness and beautiful atmosphere.

yes on affordable price at home stay. Home stay also availabe at Kee village near to this.
