constructed by the Indian army, this is tomb of a famous ahom general. the museum has artifacts but everything written in Assamese. a nice outing

Nice place in the midst of Assamese village. Crematorium of historical Ahom General and legendary hero of Assam.Very near to Jorhat. A neglected place revived by th then Governor of Assam S.K.Sinha about 15 years back.

Its a few kilometers away from Jorhat city, located nearby the high way to sivsagar, on the way to Sivsagar. The place is well maintained. Worth a vist. Lachit Barphukan was the commander of Army of Ahom kingdom, which have defeated the Mughals 17 times....More
