The place is sight seeing of vast stretch of Mahanadi and to worship Lord 'Shiba' and other God and Goddess. It is far away from Cuttack and Bhubaneswar. One has to hire vehicle to go there.

The main attraction is Nila-madhab temple. Also the place is famous for brass utensils. If your only objective is to see the temple, think again and get mentally prepared to spend a good amount of money , which you will have to donate to the...More

Kantilo, almost a hundred kilometres upstream the Mahanadi ("Great River") from the city of Cuttack. When I was sojourning in Cuttack for a few days during my travels across Orissa, I could not resist myself from visiting the temple of Nilamadhaba, the Gemstone God.
