I like nature, but these are literally two trees. The signage to them was fairly discrete and easy to miss. You can see them on the way to the Huang Nam waterfall. If I missed them when going to the waterfall, it wouldn’t have been...More

Spectacular trees off the road to the nearby waterfall. There are two trees when you drive down the road to the waterfall, the first one is to the right and the second to the left. In our experience the exact location wasn't very clear but...More

To get here, you're going to need your own set of wheels and preferably, some experience riding a scooter or motorcycle. The road to the trees was much worse in the past, but most of it has been developed into a two-lane gravel road. There's...More

The resort island of Ko Kut, on the Thai-Cambodian maritime border, is largely covered with pristine rain forest, which has not been bulldozed for tourist development, unlike so many other islands in Thailand. In the middle of the rain forest are two particularly large and...More

We couldn't reach the trees during the rainy season at first, because rain had damaged the roads. When we finally got there, the roads were still rough, but managed to get there. The trees were nice to see, and children had fun in the jungle.

Apart from small coastal settlements, some rubber and coconut plantations, and a concrete road that almost, but not completely, circumnavigates Ko Kut, the whole island is covered with primary tropical rain forest. Just driving along the narrow concrete road up and down steep hills is enough...More
