Nice beach in the peninsula
Aug 2017 • Couples
Nice beach in this peninsula near the tower with many tourists, the sea is clean and the beach has a fine sand. Near there are museum, bars and restaurants.

beautiful but very wild water the day we went
Aug 2016 • Family
The water was blue, the sand was white, grey and course. The waves were high and it was windy. Very few people were swimming and there were dangerous rip tides. There was a restaurant selling food and drinks and a bathroom. Parking seemed to be free.

Amazing white sand beach.
Jul 2016 • Couples
A clear crystal water with white quartz sand that make you feel like a massage when you walk along the beach. There are only pay parking in this area (at least we didn't see any free parking space in that area) and the parking ticket is quiet expensive if you stay less than three hours.

Free foot massage! Amazing!
Sep 2015 • Couples
We read about this beach I. Our travel guide. The quartz rice grains that make up most of the beach give it an amazing felt to your feet and looks to your eyes! So beautiful! There's a bar, showers and a free toilet. There are several parking options, including free ones, if you can find a free spot. This is a must see/feel!

top beach in archeologic surrounding
Jul 2015 • Couples
we came to spiaggia san giovanni di sinis in the morning time around 10 a.m. and we were lucky to find a parking place, because the historic city tharros is in the surrounding directly. a one day ticket for parking costs 6 euro.
the spiaggia of san giovanni di sinis consists of two beach sections. one beach section is located southly from the historical tower, the second one is located northly of the tower. we choosed the beach section northly the tower.
the beach itself is fine sandy big rocks interupt the beach and the surface of the water, which presents every shade of green and blue. the water gets deep quickly and so the beach is not recommented for families with small children. how high are the waves depends on the strongness of the wind. we had a lot of fun during swimming and splashing. at the southend of the beach it is possible to snorkel also, cliffs and big rocks are located there, but the waves were too high and so we didn´t went out for snorkeling. shadowzones are rare and an umbrella and sun protection is absolutely necessary. further a cooling bag with drinks and food should be by side.
directly in the back of the beach a middlehigh steepcoast was formed by the nature, the vegetation consists of low maccia and sand lillies. behind the steepcoast there is the promenade which leads the visitors to the entrance of tharros.
the southsection of san giovanni di sinis is only reachable per feet, because the visitor has to pass thrugh the archeological area of tharros. the south section has the same characteristics like the north section. fine sandy beach interupt with rocks and big stones. maybe a little bit higher waves, because we saw surfers riding the waves.
in the backland of the northsection there are located beachbars, about the prices we cannot give any information. a public toilette we found also.
we can recomment san giovanni di sinis very much. we had a perfect day there and enjoyed our time very much. the beach was without question a highlight during our stay in the province of oristano. a place every visitor shouldn´t miss.

Best beach in Sardinia in our opinion
Jul 2015 • Couples
We found Mari Ermi when receptionist told us about it. Next to Is Aruttas. Not crowded, sand is really white and rice-like. Water crystal clear and seems to be in every shades of blue. Paradise!

Long beach, not a paradise
Jul 2015 • Couples
Good enough to get tinned. No better than any other city beach. Bad and expensive food on beach bars. Clean water and a lot of space to stay.

Lost in paradise.
Apr 2015 • Couples
We headed north along the dirt roads past a sequence of beautiful beaches as far as Is Aruttas. I am not exactly sure which beach was which, but they all were a gleaming white due to the high quartz content and the water is a stunning turquoise. This area is stunning and in mid April was deserted despite the temperature being a very pleasant 25 degrees. We assume the area is teeming with tourists in summer but if you fancy an other-worldly experience of having an almost tropical beach to yourself then I recommend going at this time of year! The only negative may be that the restaurants and beach bars were all shut.

È possibile in questi giorni vedere i fenicotteri?

Buone vacanze.
