Quiet, peaceful and beautiful church in the city. Must visit. A small silent complex outside and a beautiful church where you can sit and pray peacefully. Just a few kms from the main Guruvayur temple.

This church is as old as Jesus Christ, built in AD 52. One of the seven churches in India associated with St. Thomas apostle. There is a museum in the premise and also few historic monuments in the church compound.

The church was constructed by St. Thomas during his visit in 52 A.D. He has visited in boat. The boatkulam is preserved with small museum.

The location is near to Guruvayur and about 45 mins drive from Thrissur. It houses the oldest Christian church in India. The church has undergone renovations and is presently standing with its glory intact. Inscriptions can be found describing its past. A small snack shop...More

Church founded by St Thomas. You have to take an auto from the main temple area costing you around Rs.50 , a distance you feel really should be no more than Rs.30/-. But you have little time to spare and have to cover many places....More
