Historic Fort with Traders Outbuildings. From bunkhouses, officer's quarters, stables, gun shop, carriage house, etc. Surrounded by forests and open space. Volunteers and staff in period costumes. Only wish they would sell trade items from the Traders building. Check days open. Closed in winter. Closed...More

Visited the Fort on a cold, damp and windy day in September so unfortunate the tour was rather short. The Fort depicts the conditions of the Northwest Mounted Police in Cypress Hills. Great recreations of how life may have been in the frontier 1880's Canada....More

Visited Fort Walsh today and were impressed with the staff who worked there. Friendly and very knowledgeable about the fort and local history. The tour guide did an excellent job of sharing info and answering questions. It's a beautiful drive back to the fort.

This is an excellent facility. The guided tour is well worth it. Maddy is an excellent guide, truly bilingual. Some guests were unhappy the trails are closed but hey there is a fire ban - just look at BC.
