This is a bigger temple than the rest and is located nearer to the foot of the temple. It is one of the more popular temples in the mountain. Worth a visit.

This temple is the first main one you see when walking up the main street in Yoshino. In itself it is pretty impressive, a grand old building set above the road But, come at Sakura season and they open up the area at the back...More

Yoshino is famous for cherry blossom viewing. My wife and I went to Yoshino just for this reason. Kinpusenji is the first temple and maybe the biggest temple that you meet when you walk Yoshino after getting off the ropeway. Thinking of the fact that...More

It was a good timing to visit a small village in Nara to see thousands of blooming cherry blossom (Sakura in Japanese) and the three blue Buddhas. The Buddhas have been hidden for hundreds years, but they are exhibited temporary to the public from March...More

This temple is majestic and historic on a grand scale. I did not expect to find such a beautiful temple in such a rural part of Nara. I strongly recommend that everyone visits this site, especially in the spring.
