You will pass through the National Park office which give you directions and a good resting place while waiting for the bus to return hotel. Great walk to the waterfall and a remote onsen which you can pay 700 for a hot bath. Definitely recommend...More

There are some nice trails that are walkable even for young kids. We also enjoyed the free mini-programs at the visitor's center (in Japanese).

I enjoyed the walking path through the forest. This place is at the foot of Nasu mountains. The temperature was more than 5 degrees cooler than the sea level. At the end of the path, you could see a natural water fall in a mountain....More

Heisei no mori is a forest in the Nasu area, Tochigi prefecture with a information (Japanese) Nature centre and a number of walks though this natural forest. It dependss what time of year you go as to what you see, but it is always interesting
