Fantastic experience for anyone of any age. Unlike other Onsens in town, Spaarena has the Orion that allows the family to hang out together in your bathers and soak up the therapeutic waters of an Onsen. After a day up on the mountain a soak...More

This is a lovely outdoor experience. Us gals took our cosies and headed to the outdoor pools to relax and enjoy the ambience of seeing the mountains close up. The restaurant had the best gluten free crunchy chips EVER and the vegetarian gluten free sushi...More

This isn't one of those touristy onsen 'theme parks' with yukatas and massages and Edo-era interiors - it's all very functional and basic. I liked it though. The restaurant is cafeteria style but serves perfectly good food and the open-air onsens are lovely in winter....More

After a hard day of skiing there is nothing better than relaxing at Spa Arena. So many different onsens to choose from in the one area. Very indulgent!

Perfect for easing the aches and pains associated with long days skiing. Variety of baths so you can choose between wearing togs or going nude and comfortable water temperature or boiling water!

This was my partner and my first visit to a Japanese thermal bath. The communal areas allowed for males and females to bathe in swimwear, which was nice because it gave us the opportunity to relax and enjoy the experience together. Spa Arena also includes...More

A good night if you are with a crowd that is feeling nervous about the naked spa thing (we were family friends with teenagers). Bring a towel if you have one as this will save you money. Cost is around $7 AUD per person which...More

This was excellent for the family, we could all be in the outdoor pool together, and very spacious and clean. Not sure you would call it a traditional onsen, but if you have a group a great place to go after a big day skiing....More
