The 1+ hour drive from Furano was pleasant and definitely worth the trip. You will be awed by the sight of 1.5 million sunflowers smiling to you. It was an once in a life time experience you would not want to miss.

Simply amazing. I went here during the last day of the festival but still it was amazing to see so many sunflowers. I took a train to Fukagawa from Asahikawa station and took the bus from Fukagawa Hospital to Hokuryu. It was worth it!!!
