This is the first review I’ve ever taken the time to write because I truly think I owe it to others to warn as a safety concern. My husband and I visited this morning and it was absolutely gorgeous! Everything about the falls is beautiful....More

We were driving between Arenal and Liberia, headed for an afternoon flight. It was a great place to stop with two kids for a quick 3min walk down and a refreshing swim. There was a security guard in the parking lot to make sure things...More

It was a very nice visit. Truly Costa Rica. It’s a short downhill path to get in. Water is cool. Best to bring all essentials and snacks as there is nothing for sale.

We visited on the drive down from the peninsular. Just of the highway. Steep walk down to the falls but straightforward. Water cool and it was busy by 11am on a Monday. Great beauty spot. Car park had security guards. Worth a visit!

Visited whilst on holiday in Costa Rica and what a wonderful natural beauty spot. We arrived at 8am when it opens so had the place to ourselves. Good toilet facilities before the walk down to the waterfall. Spectacular and to have the place to yourself...More

It’s a fun place for a day trip or a picnic. Our family enjoyed it. The water is cold but refreshing on a hot day. There aren’t any bathrooms at the falls though.

On our way to Nicoya Peninsula we visited this waterfall. It's very close to the Pan American Highway. It was not busy when we were over there (don't go in weekends). Great place to swim. The hike to the waterfall is very short from the...More

We decided to visit Llanos de Cortez Waterfall because it was the closest waterfall from where we were staying. We drove there from Potrero, and the drive wasn't so bad; even though, we did not rent a 4x4 which I highly recommend since some of...More

My wife and I enjoyed the view at this waterfall. On this hot day, the water was cold and felt great.

We went to Llanos de Cortez Waterfall by car. Good thing is, you can park your car just like 100m from the waterfall and it takes you roughly 5min walk to get there. The path is quite steep, yet I recommend it to all ages....More

The path isn’t super flat, but it is a very short path down to the waterfall. Two in shape adults made it in 3 minutes. I think that you may be able to maneuver your way down with your kids without much trouble, but not... More

I did it with bad knees (knee replacement scheduled in 1 wk and the other in 3 mo!) but my husband was there to assist! The gravel path is pretty flat overall and the steps have some rocks to grab.
