The temple here is nothing special but the principle attraction is the impressive large buddhist statue, which is reached after a pleasant stroll from either Shibu Onsen or Yudanaka, and the expansive views across the town and valley to the distant snow covered mountains.. We...More

worth a trip up, there not only for the view and amazing statue, but for a small fee you can ring the huge gong...
