While we stoped for the Nymsfield barrow, we found the view from Coaley Peak to be much more enthralling. It was too windy the day we were there, but there are large spaces for picnics!

Not far from the National Trust Woodchester Park, nice view on a clear day and the Cotswold Way National Trail goes through it. Worth a visit or picnic 👍

Came across Coaley Peak by accident whilst looking for the long barrow just to the north. Stunning viewing area on the Cotswold Way of the River Severn valley below and Wales beyond. Free car park. A little busy on a sunny Sunday in summer. But...More

Another lovely hour spent here today, easy free parking and a few picnic tables. As always few bins which is a big issue when the ice cream van will not provide a bin or take your rubbish. The ice cream prices are astronomical- £10 for...More

Lovely place for a walk. Especially with dogs. Beautiful views. You might even catch the ice cream van up there 🍦

Beautiful clear views. One of my Mum, Grandad and Uncle’s favourite places. We just stopped to enjoy the view today.

Peaceful, quiet and a view to enjoy. Lots of parking, places for the kids gunplay and have family picnics.

I grew up in Stroud, and always went for long walks along Rodborough, Minchinhampton and Selsley common, and never really ventured up to Coaly Peak much. I'm recently beginning to appreciated it a lot more now. Makes me feel blessed to have been brought up...More

Free of the lead again today and went back every time I was called, other than when another cute cockapoo made friends. Found out that rabbit poo tastes nice, yummy. What a great place to run and relax, with superb views over the Severn Vale....More

We came here twice during our stay in Wotton-under-edge the first time it was windy but stunning all the same and we did the little walk and petted the cows. The second time we went specifically to watch the sunset and even though it was...More
