Another of the must visit sites on Orkney. Mid week, mid afternoon and we were there alone. some decent walks around but the path was closed when we visited. Stacks of car parking.

The video was interesting and fills some of the gaps in the history. It is next to the Earl's Bu, or hall, and the remains of an almost unique round church. The information boards are helpful. Needs less than an hour.

An unmanned but well looked after visitor centre with lots of information about the Earls Bu and Round Church. An excellent 17 minute Video to explain the Saga

A small exhibition and centre associated with the Earls Bu and cemetery located off a country road at Orphir. Very informative and free, well signposted

We walked from Breck to see the church ruins and found this little visitor centre with its hilarious hierarchical tree of Norse characters sporting the faces of modern actors as well as information boards and an enjoyable film which included a couple of Icelandic/Orcadian sagas.
