Don't beleive the distance signs,it just over 2 miles. When you are almost there, you getto chose a route unsighned left will take you to top of falls right will take you to bottom.

Lovely walk from Hartside Farm. Not far, 1.5 miles and easy going however beware the midges which were horrendous especially at the spout..... spoiled what would have been a lovely walk with spectacular views.

A short walk, a mile and a half, to an interesting thin waterfall. A good place for a picnic, if you fancy it.

We really enjoyed this walk, definitely seemed a little further than a lot of reviews suggested - though worth it. Kept our dog on the lead as requested, not a problem at all. The spout itself was worth it, my teens had fun as the area was icy, so slipped and slid about with glee. A very beautiful part of the world.…
