    The seat of the Municipal Museum of Kastela is located in one of the best-preserved fortresses in Kastela - Vitturi Castle. Kastela are the second city by population in Split-Dalmatia County, comprised of seven historical villages spreading along the coast of the Kastela Bay. The permanent museum display is located at the second floor of the Castle Vitturi.

    very interesting insight into local history

    Well worth a visit if you want to know all about Kastela region, right back to the stone age times. English interpretation boards and a nice cafe close by too.

    Small, but nice

    Small museum in one of the castles that gave the name to the town (Kastela). Nice exposition from the ancient times to the modern time. There is no air conditioning, so it's quite hot during summer.

    A castle locals a proud of

    The Museum of the Town of Kastela is actually a castle locals are proud of. It represents their cultural heritage and it is definitely worth of a visit. Besides all you can grab a souvenir there in their shop.

    Lovely museum and Kastel (castle), best of the seven little villages along the coast between Split and Trogir. Good cafe bar right next to the Kastel. The area is great to walk along the beachfront. Pretty little bays and walkways. Also little kids parks dotted...More

    Small but interesting

    Museum is situated in restaurated castle Vitturi from 15 century. Permanent exhibition is on the second floor with lot of archaeological and etnographic exhibits from Kastela teritory. If you are in Kastela dont miss this museum.

    About Museum

    This was a great cultural experience! A girl that works was very sympathic and excellent english speaker,which we prefer.She also helped with general informations about local area. Visitor can get in Museum more informations than in Tourist board.Working hours from 9AM is excellent! Best to...More
