Took a trip out through spectacular landscapes from near narbonne to these vineyards, past castles in the sky, and deep deep ravines. Drive not for the faint hearted! But well worth the trip. A very helpful man told us in franglais all about the wines...More

Organised a gentlemens wine tour of region for a friend 18th August. Having had good experiences all day and bought lots of great wines, for some reason the young man on duty at Mas Amiel, did not want to serve us. Not sure if it...More
Interesting roads lead to this diamond of wine making. Vines as far as the eye can see and an area full of clear, large glass flagons concentrating red wines in the hot sun.
The public side of the vineyard is an ultra modern visitor experience....More
Unrivalled. The best wine and in such a beautiful place, just below Queribus. You drive into the vineyards along narrow roads to an elegant Mas where the wines themselves greet you in their jars in the sunshine. Inside the cool tasting room you will find...More
Mas Amiel is quite legendary a place: it is the wineyard which redesigned, reinvented the Maury wines.
And their place fits the legend: well designed, modern, ... presenting the wine perfectly.
If you're near Maury head up there!!!!!
The tremendous wines of Mas Amiel encompass a good deal more than the justly-famous sweet reds. We holiday in the Aude every summer, and I always try to get to Mas Amiel to give the car suspension a good workout on the way home!
A detour to get to Estagel but well equipped winery and airy cool tasting room. Highly regarded for fortified wines as well as more typical wines of the region, walking around there is an impression that a lot is invested by the owner.
