Nice castle ruins and hiking area. Fun to explore and it has a tower which you can climb a ladder to get to the top.

The Altdahn Castle is one of the best castles we visited in the region. The views are amazing and there are many little hidden areas to climb and discover. Not very busy so you feel like you have the place to yourself!

Interesting looking castle that is a little hard to get to, but will be worth it once you're there. Also recommend the little towns nearby (particularly Hinterweidenthal) and their fruit markets!
