Pleasant few hours spent in and around Le Bourget. Chateau is an interesting diversion but not much to see as it is ruined & currently undergoing rebuilding.

however the castle is closed most of the time 8-( and only open for some festivities. you can best walk nearby to the specially constructed wooden tower that alows to observe the birds on the nearby lake border.

A guide will tell an interesting history about Thomas II and his castle. Then, you can go and watch the birds in the observatory in the vicinity. Visitys of the castle are only possible in the afternoon.
