Visited this winery on our way to Inle and although the views are spectacular the wine was not to our taste.

We went by bicycle but had to walk up the steep hill. It was interesting to see vines being grown in this part of the world but they were scruffy- nothing like the immaculate vineyards you see in France and elsewhere. The was no opportunity...More

I work in the wine industry and was very keen to visit a winery in a country that I don't normally associate with wine culture. I was very pleasantly surprised. The winery is located on top of a hill surrounded by vineyards. One can see...More

The view from Red Mountain Winery shop is definitely wonderful. That said, comparing to any other places that we went to in Myanmar, we found it was not welcoming at all... We were "forced" to order wine, though we would have taken something else. One...More

I hate to leave negative reviews, but the wine was pretty dreadful. The location is lovely and the cycle from town is quite easy. But of the two wineries in the region, this is not the one to visit

We had the wine tasting and two of the wines we liked, the other we didn’t - but I guess that is just different tastes. We were just so disappointed by one experience. We accidentally dropped one of the four tasting wine glasses and right...More

Amazing view, wine tastes chemical... Revision: The food was tasty but not good... My husband ate the Tom Yum Friderice and started puking four hours later. He is still on the restroom. (Now 2:30 AM) There must be something wrong with it. This was the...More

The view and the sunset were very nice. The food was also good. We tried a white and a red wine. Both tasted like chemicals. We returned it and at least could cancel it from the check.

We didn’t expect to find a vineyard but why not? Worth the $10 ride to see the view and gardens. We didn’t rate the wine but you can taste 4 wines for $3. Bottles expensive!

The estate only serves wine tasting and there isn’t much to see at the vineyard. Not very well kept. The wine... all had this chemical taste to it except for the Muscat. Wouldn’t visit again or recommend.

Not quite sure, but someone told me it closes right after sunset. I went during the day.

It's well signposted off the road. But care needed to ensure you don't miss the sign, especially if you have been wine tasting at Red Mountain beforehand. :-)

1. Booking in advance is not really necessary. 2. I do not know how much it would cost to take a cab. My random estimate is it could not be more than Kyats 5,000 (less than US$ 5) from downtown Nayung Shwe (Yawnghwe... More
