Amazingly this chapel was originally built about 1046, before the Norman invasion of England in 1066, which I think of as the beginning of our studies of history. Wonderful uncovered frescos in the small chapel.

If you appreciate art and history you should not miss this. It is very small but the paintings are amazing. It is in a lovely little town not far from Cluny

This is an absolute gem - the medieval, byzantine-style frescoes in this peaceful chapel are worth a detour.

Stunning tenth Century Chapel with original and unretouched frescoes. Not to be missed. The lady who takes care is extremely helpful and well informed.
