A small educational museum detailing fossils found from the dinosaur era and locally (we did not ask about the planetarium). Appears to be aimed at the younger audience, depends on the child, however suggest pre teens. Our little person (4yrs) was too young to understand...More

Found a leaflet and as my son is dinosaur mad thought the 1hr trip would be worth it. Price was €8 which we were happy to pay thinking there would be a lot more to it. We also wanted to go to the planetarium but...More

We went here as one of our children is Dinosaur mad and wanted to go after picking up a leaflet. As many have said, this is fairly small and I think the entry price is too much. Personally I found it a little boring but...More

We did not know this place existed, and were delighted to stumble across it. Not only does it have a very good permanent exhibition relating to local finds, but it had an excellent touring exhibition on carnivores too. What's more, it has an aire du...More

We had just arrived in Caen and the heavens decided to open. We dived into a Macs for a hot drink and saw a leaflet advertising Paleospace. Both my boys were very keen to go and explore. It's not a massive place to visit so...More

Much smaller than anticipated and really not geared towards our kids- it was okay but certainly not a must-see. Skip paleospace and head right to the bike rentals in front- rent a family bike and have a blast riding through the lovely area

It gave a different view of Villers sur Mer because this little sea side town has a paleontology history.

Paleospace is a very useful prequel to fossil hunting on the beach at Villers-sur-Mer, a renown fossil site. As well as some great examples from around the world (though don't expect the Natural History Museum, this is a much smaller enterprise!) there is local history...More
