Situated on a headland the lighthouse has extensive grounds which are quiet and peaceful. There is a visitor center at the base of the lighthouse and, admission to climb the 250+ stairs is EUR6.0 for adults. The panorama at the top is 360 degrees. It's...More

It's big and old, but that's it. Nothing special if you've seen a few lighthouses, this is just another.

Really, this is a Must-Do on your visit to Cap Ferret! Not only is the structure strikingly beautiful but interesting too. If for no other reason, you need to take in the breathtaking views from the top!!!

What can I say. A lighthouse on the point. I will not spoil it for you and tell you about the history but a must visit if you have the time.

Great views from the top, wasn't too difficult to climb and not too expensive. Nice park and forest walks nearby too.

Be ready to climb the 258 steps and enjoy the amazing views. Nearby is an uncovered German bunker from the second world war.

Worth it. Well maintained, and all the steps are the same height, which I have not always found to be true in old lighthouses. The view is nice and there is an informative museum and a nice gift shop.

On a clear day the 360 views from the top is worthwhile, and more than makes up the climb. It is quite beautiful!
