A very nice walk up to this ruin. Walk up the tower for an even better view. A good time to go would be early so as to not be in a crowd.

Saarburg Castle is located on a strategically favorable mountain ridge between the Rivers Saar and Leuk above the town with the same name. It is beautiful place to visit.

Worth the little climbing. The view is breathtaking. One can go up by car and then there is a little climb. There is a memorial for the dead of three wars, including WW2 composed of three combined crosses.

This a small lovely caste with beautiful view to Saar river and surroundings from its tower. You can chose from several trails either from river side or from the down town. All of them are romantic and offer beautiful views to surroundings. I enjoyed.

A simple ruined castle with free entry and information boards in multiple languages. Limited opening restaurant available. Climb the narrow stairs in the tower for lovely 360 degrees view of the surrounding area.
