The mud volcanoes were wonderful! The scenery needs to be experienced to be believed and the active lava-like mud is fascinating to watch. The trip up the hill in an old Soviet Lada car added to the experience. Not to be missed.

Not very special. Could be seen, but not at any price. It is a natural fenomena, but if you are a solo traveller it is not easily accessible - you have to bargin with the taxi drivers otherwise you should join a group

The almost Martian landscape is unique, and the volcanos themselves are pretty cool. Worth a visit if you’re in Baku!

Basically out in the middle of seeming desert hill, you will find places to park and see these grey bubbling up mud volcanoes. Not sure if I'd call it mud, but it's strangely fascinating.

I've seen the same kind of thing in New Zealand, but the geography, and therefore the reason for these, is different. Worth seeing for sure.
