Generally, I do not prefer sandy beaches that are rather shallow. There are no shade, so be prepared to cook slowly at beach. It might be good idea if you are visiting with kids before 10 am and after 5 pm.

Most Croatian beaches are rocky/pebbly, but this one was sandy, and quite shallow to at least 100m out. I do believe that the sand is 'imported' over the years, but it's much better than rocks. Water beautiful.

We went there on a scooter we rented for a day /£25-40/ to be able to visit more places, not sure about water or air temperatures in October, possibly refreshingly cold, as the water was cold even in August.
