Nice little beach to take the children. Weather was fantastic so this always helps. Sand was very clean and we were able to find a nice little spot that wasn’t crowded.

I have fond memories of holidays in Gorleston as a child in the 1970's, but they weren't enhanced when I visited the other week. Okay, it was out of season, but the whole place wreaked of staleness, of a town that has lost its way,...More

A very well-kept, beautiful sandy beach that is a pleasure to stroll along, paddle and spend the day building sandcastles. Plenty of refreshment kiosks available plus an amusement arcade in case the weather turns. Highly recommended as a beautiful picnic spot in warm weather.

Great for walking and breathing sea air! Beaches must be superb in mid summer, large, clean golden sands. A strip of typical seaside shops and a small car park (plenty more parking in nearby streets) as well as a traditional theatre are provided in this...More

Lovely long flat walk, no rubbish or dog mess along promenade. Ideal for that ease stroll and sea breeze.

One of the best beaches in the area. Nice sandy shore. Shops/restaurants close. Cheap day out in the summer.

Gorleston seafront is beautiful. Catch it on a warm, sunny Summers day and you could be in the south of France. The beach is truly golden sand. There are several eating places and activities for children. Wonderful.

The beach is lovely as is the whole Norfolk coastline (and Suffolk too). As for retiring there - well that is a milllion dollar question. It depends a lot on what you like and where you are coming from. You can get some... More

It is shallow, and seldom are there big waves (east facing), and there are life guards too. Best to let your child paddle in the paddling pool next to the yacht pond. It is filled each day and well set up for toddlers

Yes, but off the pier, usually on the corner of the river by the lighthouse, but also on the south side overlooking the beach.
