We stayed in an apartment opposite this mall. Had some good cheap stores. Kids liked the 100yen and 300 yen shops.

This is a high end shopping complex just above the Asakusa Tobu line station. The exterior is rather grand and imposing. Inside houses the Matsuya department store, fashion boutiques and shops selling various merchandises. Level 7 is a restaurant zone with various type of cuisines.

As with other malls, this is on the train line and is a nice indoor break after walking strong Asakusa or the Sumida river area. You can find affordable toys and home good here as well.

Located at Asakusa station of Tobu Skytree line. Local department store but not sophisticated. Try underground floor to buy some food for your lunch, or beer/wine party. 東武浅草駅の駅ビル。デパ地下でお弁当を買って、隅田川散策のお供にいかがですか? お酒も売っているので、おつまみを揃えてパーティーもいいかも。

Asakusa Ekimise is a really convenient mall above the train station. There is a well-stocked basement supermarket where we bought daily groceries. The Japanese sweets section was a feast for the eyes. The floors above have a great 100 yen and 300 yen store, which...More

Ueno, Asakusa
Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
