It is a train station but has maintained its old world charm. One can take pics. From here, we can go to Meiji Jingu shrine and the Takeshita Dori (market).

A nice little station on the Yamanote Line circling inner Tokyo. It's exit leads to Meiji Shrine and a magnificent shopping street. Pleasant

It's clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. Everything runs like clockwork. You can even buy interesting food here.

Easy to navigate without knowing much Japanese, helpful staff, lots of signs to help you get out. Just like all stations: BEWARE the squatty potty!

Just been back there since last visit in 1997 after more than 20 years. Everything still maintained well just like before.

not your traditional station (which it shouldn't be because it is in harajuku), can get crowded on weekends

This railway station design is specially nice. It is good to take photo here. Also famous local shopping street is just 1 min walk to the opposite

The traditional frontage makes this station a little different to most others - make sure you turn around and have a look as you exit!

Unique, old modern railway station. very standout building around. starting point of Harajuku. Walk straight across the road to the right and start walking from there. dont just turn left straight from the station, or else you will miss the other beauty of the area.

The building looks quaint in bustling Harajuku. It is European inspired and made of wood. That’s enough to make it stand out. A new station will be built adjacent to the present structure in preparation for the 2020 Olympics. I do hope they maintain this...More

There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.
