This entire Shibuya area is deceptive - you don't think it would have high-end stores, but it's block after block of amazing, high-end shopping. Usually, these types of stores are in overwhelmingly fancy areas (like Ginza for instance), but this was a residential area and...More

I didn’t know about this street before heading to Tokyo. We only went there in search of the White Atelier store to get customised Converse shoes - and realised Cat Street had a lot to offer. First and foremost this street is closed to traffic,...More

There were so many shops it is impossible to go to every each of them. From there you can get to harajuku district easily. Which is a must go!! Harajuku is the craziest and coolest place to go if you love fashion and being original!...More

I thought that this would be where we could purchase alternative goods from independent vendors, but found too many mainstream retailers. Maybe this was a good retail atra in years past, but definitely not in 2018.

This was not what we expected, there is a lot of expensive shops, and in my opinion boring shops like Hilfiger and the likes. There are some second hand shops but they were not that interesting. It's a nice street for a stroll, but the...More

There is everything on this street. Retseraunts, coffee shops, trendy clothing stores, you name it. It's a pedestrian street, so the hustle and bustle of the Tokyo cars are not there. It's quite and an excellent place to shop. When you cross the bridge at...More

One of the most pleasant things to do in Tokyo is stroll down side streets discovering tiny stores run by sincere fashionistas. This street is a guarantee of hidden gems

I got excited about this street when I saw it on here before our holiday. We put this on our list to visit. It is a lovely street but not really much to do about cats!. Lots of trendy boutiques and cafes which is also...More

Okay, so some of the shops are very left of field for the Westerners visiting the area, however most are just the same ones that you will find in any strip mall or shopping centre in Australia, USA, Canada, UK etc etc

That was a pretty funky park of town. It reminded us of Paddington London or the inner west of Sydney. Lots of cool shops – a mixture of well known brands as well as second hand clothes stores.

Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.
