A friend of mine added this to our itinerary. Beer museum? Boring old beer bottles collection showing the evolution of its history and other old collection of stuff, right? Wrong! Beautifully decorated, it offer beer tours which was unfortunately conducted only in Japanese. But is...More

The tour was conducted in Japanese as our small group of random tourists except for us it did not matter. We had an English brochure to tell the story and there are photographs with both English and Japanese explanation of the history of brewing in...More

This is a hidden gem of Ebisu Garden Place. If you want to see how Yebisu beer started, you can find it all here. Also, with the tasting room, you can enjoy several varieties of fresh beer. Enjoy!

I enjoyed the memorabilia in this museum and wanted to buy one of the happi coats, but it was not for sale. You can sample Yebisu premium beer here although they now only accept payment on machines, which is annoying.

Just went for the beer tasting here. A little expensive but the staff obviously take pride in serving these absolutely perfectly. The 4 beers I tried were all great and they provided some small snacks as well.

The museum is very well done. I wouldn’t make a special trip to get here, but if you are in the Ebisu area, definitely check it out. The staff was helpful and their souvenir shop had some interesting items.

Small Museum located right where Mitsukowshi is. Fun to go in and see all the old photos. You can have some beer there with tapas. I enjoyed just walking around but I wouldn't recommend it as a 'must see' in Tokyo.

There's not much in the museum, and I was hoping for more specialty beer that might not be available elsewhere. But, it is a free museum and it's nicely laid out. There's some interesting company history and some cool old memorabilia on display. The beer...More

Shibuya / Harajuku / Ebisu
There are countless opportunities to shop in the
Shibuya and Harajuku districts, especially in shops
that focus on Japan's "Kawaii" culture. The trendiest
areas are around Shibuya’s Center district, Harajuku's
Takeshita-dori and in Omotesando. If you need to
recharge from all the shopping, you can easily refresh
yourself in Meiji Jingu or Sasaki Park. In contrast,
Ebisu has a more grown up ambiance of calm and cool.
