It is a very large temple amid high rise buildings just off Aoyama Dori in Aoyama. It is impressive but fairly typical of temples around Tokyo.This area of Tokyo is one of the best and you are not far from Ometasando and the Meiji Jingu...More

Allot two hours total to check out everything and walk into the underground tunnel and touch the doorknob that promises a "key to paradise". If you're strapped on time, okay to miss- but if you have more time in Japan definitely try to get here!

Unfortanately this place was closed when we got there but it was beutiful to see from the outside and well worth visiting if you are nearby.

A place of worship they find Buddhists, and built since the 7th century! This place certainly saves a lot of things related to the history, part of the heritage and the development of this temple, you can see in this place.

A little work to get to but if you are in the area an ok visit. The grounds are very nice and the secret black tunnel is a cool feature - just very short. I would not make the trek to here specifically to visit...More

Everything in Tokyo's Omotesando district opens at 11 so I found myself at a loose end and thought I'd check out the shrine. I didn't go in and though the building is quite impressive, it is just another shrine. What is interesting is the cemetery....More
