Another good experience for child. One of the biggest stock exchange market, Tokyo . Although not quite easy to understand for kids, lots could be seen here.

Prior to my visit to Japan, I made Tokyo Stock Exchange a prominent part of my itinerary as my country's stock exchange is not open to visitors. Despite the intimidating exterior, the staffs are very welcoming and greeted us with smiles. My friend, who went...More

I visited while I had some time to kill in Tokyo. It is a hidden gem. There is a small museum that explains the rise, fall and rise of the Tokyo stock exchange. I'm a big history nut so I found it fascinating. I did...More

You can visit the Tokyo Stock Exchange but do not expect to see any trading going on as the exchange is not totally computerized. All trading is done electronically. There may be some specialized orders being done, but they are not visable on the floor....More

When I visited it was past lunch. There was hardly any activity to be seen. Not the hustle and bustle one associates with a major stock exchange. Wall Street Stock Exchange was quite a different experience. Maybe it was the wrong time of the day....More

Its not Wall Street, and that's the point, its computers, a quiet atmosphere with electronic trading. It holds a lot of history, business and a small museum. Japan is a sovereign island nation in Eastern Asia, its capital is Tokyo and it has a population...More

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular

Nothing to add to bob2bkk. Btw, the coffee shop has a vending machine for snacks. You may also visit the Kabuto Shrine just north of the exchange. The name of the area is derived from that shrine.

I can send two or three photos. When I visited the Stock Exchange one afternoon, there was hardly any action on the floor. Is that normal nowadays when computers do the job?
