The station is big, and contains a shopping area which is well worth a walk around, we found some fantastic novelty Donuts The exterior is one of the few brick built buildings in the centre of Tokyo, don't just pass though, stop and look around

Well, I didn't expect to get lost at a train station, but Tokyo Station is massive. And while we were looking for a particular restaurant (that we didn't find that day sadly), we did get to eat some small snacks around the area. I recommend...More

We started our tour of Japan in Tokyo and are finishing here too thankfully as it meant we found this place. What an array of eateries and cool little shops too, we did give in to temptation and bought a weird and wonderful Kit Kat...More

We had just finished admiring the outside of Tokyo Central Railway Station and wondered into this area. We got lost temporarily because it’s massive and there so many people. It was ok though because we knew we could get out if we needed to. We...More

Getting around Tokyo station is NOT intuitive even with a map, so don’t do it in a hurry. Go on a empty stomach and empty bag to eat lots of stuff and to fill up on the sweet and salty treats. Make sure that you...More

The street is like a shopping mall with many shops selling fashion stuffs. That's quite expensive so we didn't spend so much there. We had our dinner in a ramen shop called "旭川Ramen 游龜亭". The ramen and dumplings were very well and the boss was...More

Great place to grab desserts and small snacks on the go. They have Dean and Deluca (if craving american desserts) and other really good authentic Japanese cafes, croissants, baked goods, small pastry breakfast items. It’s worth it just to buy a train ticket to get...More

It's an interesting underground shopping area, quite big need to spend some time here to shop around. Abit similar to Sapporo underground shopping mall but a little bit confused of the direction.

It is a massive station. With streets full of shops and restaurants underground. Serves both the Metro, JR and the Shinkansen train lines.

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular
