Taking the not so slow boat from Hinode Pier to Asakusa was a brilliant way to see a bit of Tokyo from the water. The water bus we took went direct from Hinode Pier to Asakusa and took under an hour. It was a beautiful...More

Traveling through Tokyo by water is such a pleasure, especially when you are used to crammed subways and Taxi's stuck in traffic. We took a cruise to Odaiba on a busy three day weekend. The cruise was nice enough, with a narration of sights in...More

An relaxing and inexpensive way to get to Hamarikyu Park. Doesn’t rely on the season or the weather. I just wished they had more frequent sailings. Just wished it was tied into the Tokyo transportation system

A pleasant trip along the river. From Ryogoku to Odaiba Marine Park took about 1 hour. A group next to us had the right idea with packing a wonderful picnic lunch....beer, champagne, multiple courses of food, rice and bread. It really made us envious. My...More

The water bus was very convenient for us. Our hotel was a couple blocks away from the entrance to a park and drop-off was ideal for our day. I am surprised at how poorly the water bus is advertised. Then why did not save us...More

Our friend suggested us to take Water Bus when we moved hotels from Daiba area to Asakusa area. That was a good try! Easy to carry our luggage on board and staff are helpful. We crossed through many many bridges with one hour and saw...More

Got to Odaiba by train and then took the water bus from there to Asakusa. It's a nice ride if you already know Tokyo and a good pause from the city's commotion. The ride takes 1:15 hr. Not a "must" for Tokyo beginners. Make sure...More

Was interesting, fun and a nice experience, but wish this trip would have been round trip. When taking this trip, plan your ride via train back to where you need to be.

We enjoyed a relaxing cruise up the Tokyo river under the bridges enjoying a drink and nibbles down in the galley/restaurant section of the boat. The tour was in not Japanese and English and was quite educational. Great way to get from one end to...More

Traces of the history and culture of the Edo (old
Tokyo) era remain vividly in Ueno and Asakusa.
Spacious Ueno Park is a great place to relax and visit
a variety of different museums and galleries. At
Ameyoko which starts in front of Ueno station, the
grocery stores and clothing shops are crammed
alongside fishmongers. It gets particularly busy at
the end of the year, when many people go on shopping
