Address
Neighborhood: Odaiba / Shiodome / Shinbashi
Odaiba is an entertainment hotspot with a giant ferris wheel, concert halls, amusement arcades and lots of shopping. It also boasts Oedo-onsen-monogatari, a hotspring that recreates old Edo-era ambiance and is very popular with foreign visitors. Shiodome has ultra-modern office buildings where you can often find restaurants with a great high-rise view of Tokyo. The neighboring area of Shinbashi is a district of much older commercial buildings and it's a great place to join 'salary men' enjoying a drink and snacks at street stalls under the railway bridges after work.

    A beautiful garden
This is a very lovely place right next to the Tsukiji outer market. The beautiful gardens are surrounded by water on two sides and are very peaceful. Its like an oasis of peace in the middle of the busy city. In spring, when its flowering and there are blossoms, its especially beautiful.

An quiet paradise amidst the city
Our private guide took us here as part of our day exploring Tokyo. It's a beautiful walk through the old hunting grounds of the Shogun. Today, the gardeners do a fabulous job of maintaining the gardens and ponds. Even moreso than many of the shrines and temples around the city, there is an incredible serenity to this park. Be sure to stop for a snack at the tea house.

Relaxing respite in the middle of Tokyo
According to the guide brochure, this was a family garden of Tokugawa Shogun which functioned as an outer fort for the Edo Castle. There are many bridges, ponds, ducks, ravens, and uniquely shaped trees to make this a worthwhile break from the hectic parts of Tokyo. On your way out of the garden, notice the 300 year old pine tree. Admission was 300 yen and 150 yen for senior citizens.

Hama Rikyi Gardens, an Urban Oasis in Tokyo
Hama-rikyū Gardens located at the mouth of the Sumida River in Tokyo is an urban oasis to escape the hustle and bustle of the mega-city. From the Tsukiji Outer Market, it's a five-minute walk. You can easily do both in half a day.

Tranquil place among a busy city
This is a nice place to escape from busy Tokyo. The explanation of the duck hunting and the tea house snacks are both interesting. The gardeners keep the garden in pristine condition. Good place to visit if you happen to go to the Tsukiji Fish Market.

MUST VISIT !!!!! FANTABULOUS EXPERIENCE!!!
The green tea experience at the tea house was a must do for a full complete tokyo visit . The tea house is located on an island in the middle of a zen garden the size of central park amongst the skyscrapers. So serene and relaxing with the echoing sounds of the birds in the trees and forest .

Big expansive grounds.
Nice retreat in the middle of the city. Certainly worth the visit. The entrance fee is nominal. The pond area has lots of bridges.

Beautiful gardens pretty much in the heart of busy Tokyo. Minimal entrance fee at 300 yen and lovely place to walk, admire the plants, ducks, water and just escape for a few hours
