Food street vendors for people to try different seafoods with cheap prices but taste are so-so. It is always packed with tourists. Don't trust those vendors or shops who published in the travel guides or shows, you need to try out yourself.

We were there for 2 hours, but did not experience the auction. The market has other produce beside seafood, very crowded with tourists and lines going into the few sushi restaurants.

It is an average seafood market and nothing special. The seafood restaurant is good but price is a little steep comparing to a few years ago

This would be one of the highlights of our stay in Tokyo. We got there early and splurged on a sushi train before winding our way through Tsukiji market. There is some amazing food on offer and even if nothing appeals to you, the quality...More

It is located at Tokyo center, and probably the last chance to visit this old market. It will be moved to another place in this year. It shows the normal life of Tokyo people. Small market but huge products of different kinds of seafood. You...More

The tuna auction is very early. You have to arrive at about 4 am the latest and wait about 2 hrs to come in as a visitor. The whole event takes only 7 mins. Not really worth the effort. The next best area is the...More

It seems that only travel show hosts can get in to see the early morning fish auction - Still plenty to walk around and see, it gets pretty crowded but was great during earlier hours of the morning - Tons of food options, including sushi...More

Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's
also a downtown area with shops that were founded over
a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury
boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza.
It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll
while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels,
world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a
collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular

The best thing to do is get there around 10 am I don't think the actual auction is open to the public. It's just as much fun at 10am.
