Must do tour while in Bohol!

We did the Mangrove Tunnels + Firefly Kayaking tour and it is the perfect combo to discover the area! Our guide Vince was very kind, helpful and knowledgeable about the environment and the fireflies. The food was delicious! I highly recommend this tour to anyone that is wanting to experience Bohol far from the touristy spots!

Loved it! I booked the combo of Mangrove kayaking + Firefly kayaking and it was a blast. The guide (Jeremy) was very good, sharing a lot of insights and knowledge about mangrove species, animals and fireflies, answering kindly every question I had. They let you take your time to enjoy nature at your own pace, no rush. There are snacks in between kayaking and dinner ant the end. Overall it is a really good experience, definitely worth it!

An Eco kayak magical experience

Firstly the communication was excellent. We knew exactly where and what time our transfer would be. The name of our driver, the model of his car and reg. etc. upon arrival, we were met by our guide Vince who talked us through what to expect from the day. We visited the Mangroves which we had all to ourselves. It was peaceful and plenty of time allowed to just pause, listen and relax. The evening firefly was magical. I appreciated the Eco aspect to this trip - care given with regards to peace, light and respect to the area. Finally, a wonderful home cooked dinner was served. The staff were all very friendly and all appeared to enjoy their involvement in the ‘project’ which during the pandemic expanded with their own merchandise of bags, wallets etc up cycled from old kayaks. I wish them all well for a prosperous future.

Perfect day for nature lovers

We had a wonderful time kayaking 10km with our guide. We had a hard time getting off the beaten path in bohol and this kayaking day was exactly what we wanted. Finally, an eco-friendly, nature oriented, slow paced activity run by passionate and lovely people.
Would recommend 100%.

Beautiful experience connecting to nature, highly recommended!

Thank you to the whole team at Kayakasia who made the mangrove and firefly kayaking such a magical experience and the highlight of my time in Bohol! Everything was perfect from the hotel transfer to the kayaking itself to the incredible Filipino food. My kayak guide was SO knowledgeable and really helped me to connect to the people and nature on this beautiful island 🥰 Highly recommend!

Beautiful, immersive experience

Wonderful and knowledgeable tour along the nightly river. The trees full of fireflies are really very impressive. It’s gentle and enjoyable to paddle along this river and immerses you much more into the nighttime atmosphere than any motorboat tour. I also feel it’s important to kayak yourself and counter the motorboat operators, who run the same tour, but who contribute to noise, diesel smell and erosion of the river banks.

Fantastic experience well worth it

We did both the mangrove tunnels and the firefly kayak trips and they were well worth it. Such a great welcome good food and a very knowledgeable guide. It was so peaceful and we really enjoyed the experience. Thank you to the whole team from hotel pick up to drop off it was an excellent service.

Real highlight of our trip and authentic ecotourism experience

We spent the whole afternoon and evening in delight. Very respectful of the beautiful nature with amazing sights of the mangrove and mesmerizing fireflies. Delicious food, home made and very kindly served to help us appreciate Philippines delicacies. The guide was extremely knowledgeable about the fireflies as well as graciously sharing about the plants and daily lives there. Highly recommended experience! Was definitely one of the highlights of our trip!

Fireflies are a must do activity!

Arrived in Tagbilaran city later in the afternoon and was able to book this tour and not feel like I wasted a day just traveling. Highly recommend the kayak tour (you can be in a double or single kayak depending on your preference) as it is quiet and can avoid the other motorboats that have lots of people. My guide was amazing and told me all about local wildlife, conservation, and of course about the fireflies. Seeing them by the thousands in the trees are really something incredible. Pictures don’t do it justice so my memory photos will have to do. Ended the evening with a delicious home cooked meal.
