Great dive center with 7 rooms above. There is a large resort up the hill but we stayed in the dive center. Fabulous experience with the team. Great value, clean, organized, new equipment, lovely large rooms with cable tv, fridge and fresh water. Quality experience with great people. Glenda makes the place with her friendly and helpful personality. Can't wait to come back

Came back to the Mermaid after traveling around the Philippines for two weeks and saw the best folks ever. The staff at the Mermaid always make you feel like family and insure you have a great stay.
The rooms are nice and clean and well maintained.
The dive locker was recently updated so its also clean and in great shape.
The dive team of Rolly and Anthony will insure that each diver gets what they need to have a great time. Florrie always had a great smile when I walked into the place and thats what its all about.
Thank you guys and i will be back! (not soon enough for me)

I was staying at the Mermaid resort (same owner) and had the pleasure of also diving with Mermaid Divers. The two guides Rolly and Anthony that I had were very friendly and professional, along with all of the other staff. As a somewhat experienced diver (50+ Dives, open water, advanced open water, and enriched air), I tend to be picky about procedure and a dive shop's general approach. I'm happy to say that Mermaid met my expectations, and that I'll be back to dive with them again!

We have just had a wonderful break at the Mermaid resort. The rooms were perfect for our group and Rolly the Instructor provided a safe and great dive experience for our kids.

Can't wait to dive with these guys again......I have done over 40 dives with the Mermaid Team over the course of 2 trips to Sabang and they are awesome! I love the fact that I have always dived in small groups (sometimes 1-2-1) which makes every dive all the better. The Dive Instructor (Rolly) and DiveMaster (Anthony) are both lovely people with very keen eyes for marine life, not to mention very experienced and professional. I always feel 100% safe in their hands and cannot recommend them highly enough. The Boat Crew Edwin (Anthony's brother) and Ruel are very switched on and super-friendly. All in all, I feel you will be hard pushed to find a more competent and great bunch of people to experience the quality diving on offer here. Value for money was exceptional and as soon as we were back in the dive shop the lovely Lyn was always on hand for a lovely cup of coffee!! 10/10 and I'll be back again :-)

Diving in Sabang area overall is excellent, even by Philippines standards. You get to see the big stuff in the Canyons as well as good macro stuff in Secret Bay. Add wreck to the mix, couple of walls and you end up with something for every diver's level.
I was staying in the Mermaid hotel, so diving with them was natural choice and I can't say a single bad thing. As dive professional, I can appreciate when diveshop is well run and organized and this one is spotless. Divemasters (especially Rolly) go the extra mile (in my case looking for tiny stuff ;), the staff takes great care even of your own equipment, etc. I'm certainly coming back not only to Sabang, but to Mermaid divers in the future!

All of the staff were very friendly and helped us with anything we needed. The diving equipment is top notch and the instructors know these incredibly diverse sites like their own pockets. The room was clean and fresh and tidied daily. We were very happy there and will definetely choose Mermaid again for our next visit. Special thanks to Anthony, Torben and Jinky!

Spent a couple of days in Sabang and did some good dives with Mermaid Dive, great professional set up and dive instructors, top gear and very very reasonable rates for dives and gear hire, Lots of local knowledge on the very many dive sites that surround the island. I didn't stay at the Mermaid Hotel but checked it out and it looked very well set out and will stay there next time back down for some diving.
